Omega Speedmaster Mark II Automatic Chronograph Men's Watch

A remarkable update of a classic chronograph, this striking Omega Speedmaster Mark II automatic chronograph celebrates a legendary point in history.  In 1969, humankind made history by breaking our terrestrial bonds and setting foot on the moon.  The pioneering astronauts who took the first lunar footsteps were equipped with Omega Speedmaster Professional chronographs.  In the same year, Omega introduced the new-look Speedmaster Mark II, a timepiece that was powered by the same space-tested, hand-wound calibre 861 found inside the Moonwatch. Today, Omega has re-introduced this iconic Speedmaster Mark II, updating it to include an automatic movement and a tachymetric scale that is visible in the most limited light. Presented on a brushed stainless steel bracelet, complete with Omega's patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher clasp, the 46mm brushed and polished stainless steel case is barrel-shaped and has a polished crown and pushers.  Beneath the flat scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the grey dial is given a flash of colour with a fluorescent orange central chronograph seconds hand, and a matching minute track.  Showcasing a reassuringly technical appearance, the dial is complete with three easy-to-read sub-dials, which include a 30-minute recorder at 3 o'clock, 12-hour recorder and date window at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. Representing a first for the iconic Speedmaster family, the transparent tachymetric scale on the sapphire crystal is illuminated from beneath by an aluminium ring filled with Super-Lumi-Nova.  The varnished white and black hands, as well as the central chronograph hand are also coated with Super-Lumi-Nova, all of which ensures optimal readability in even the murkiest of conditions. Water resistant to 100m, this remarkable watch distinguishes itself from the 1969 model that inspired it with its exclusive Omega Co-Axial Calibre 3330 automatic movement.  Officially chronometer certified by the COSC, this self-winding movement is equipped with a Si14 silicon balance spring and a column-wheel chronograph mechanism. Embodying the unique spirit of daring and adventure that Omega are famous for, this handsome watch has an understated machismo which will re-define any look. 327.
