In a nutshell: Back at the millennium’s turn this Bristol quintet were a sure thing, securing a huge deal for their debut album and Radio 1 Record Of The Week status for the first two singles, only for band harmony to disintegrate on tour. Now all patched up, they’re back with an exercise in magnificently modern retrotinged psychedelia. There are more golden tunes here than you can hang your hat on.
